Why choose Chiltern Solar?

Solar panel for your home starting from £6995 for 10-panel array

Savings based on a typical 3-bed house, consuming 3100kWh/annum*.

The Solar array will generate 3912kWh/annum.

  • Solar:1264kWh
  • Battery: 1172kWh
  • Exported to Grid: 1580kWh

The displacement of electricity (saved) to the home is 1,264+1,172=2,436kWh, which is 78.5% of the house’s consumption.

In addition, the customer would earn approximately £260.70 on Exported Energy (Smart Export)***

The Solar array will offset the equivalent of 880.1Kg of CO2/annum.

The equivalent of 35 trees or 3140miles in an average petrol/diesel car.

The system payback is approximately 8 years

**The likely annual CO2 emissions for your home based on your generation and usage with the solar PV system detailed in this document versus estimates for a property like yours using energy from the grid. Your actual CO2 emissions will depend on lots of factors, like how much energy your solar panels generate, how much of this energy you use directly and how much energy you continue to use from the grid. To calculate what these savings equate to in miles driven, we base this on the CO2 emissions of an average sized diesel car as outlined in the UK government’s ‘Greenhouse gas reporting: conversion factors 2022’ (). To calculate what these savings equate to as the average amount of CO2 absorbed by trees, we base this on a rate of 25kg per tree per year. Trees absorb anywhere between 10 and 40kg of CO2 per year on average, depending on a whole host of factors, including the species, location, planting density, and age.

*** Energy costs are based on the April – June 2024 Energy Cap Prices
Unit Rate £0.245/kWh

Smart Export Guarantee Rate £0.165/kWh – EON 19/3/2024
**** kg CO2 equivalent 0.22499kg/kWh
