Project Overview
Derek, based in Ashwell, Hertfordshire, wanted to embrace renewable energy and reduce his reliance on the National Grid. Chiltern Solar designed and installed a 5.55kWp solar energy system paired with a Tesla Powerwall, delivering clean energy and storage flexibility.

The Installation Process
The installation process began on 1st September, with roofers Malik Kamli and Eddie Friel securely installing 15 JA Solar 370W panels. These all-black panels were chosen for their high efficiency and sleek aesthetics.
The SolarEdge 3680W inverter was installed to optimise energy generation, while the Tesla Powerwall 2 provided storage for excess energy, ensuring Derek could power his home even during the evening. Operations were coordinated by Skye Warke, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
By 6th September, the system was fully operational, providing Derek with renewable energy independence and peace of mind.
