Project Overview
Nick, from Amersham, Buckinghamshire, wanted to embrace renewable energy to reduce his electricity bills and carbon footprint. Chiltern Solar designed and installed a 6.30kWp solar system with efficient energy storage using Pylontech batteries.
Installation Timeline
Nick’s installation was completed efficiently, with every step planned for minimal disruption. Here’s the timeline:
Final Proposal Issued: 1st March 2023
Order Confirmed: 8th March 2023
Scaffolding Erected: 8th June 2023
Installation Completed: 14th June 2023
The Installation Process
On 14th June, Chiltern Solar’s expert team began installing 15 Jinko 420W Tiger Neo TOPCon all-black solar panels. These panels provide high energy efficiency while maintaining a sleek, modern appearance that blends well with Nick’s property.
Roofers Joe Freeman, Eddie Friel, and Luke Crimmins secured the panels to the roof, ensuring optimal placement for sunlight capture. The Solis 3.6kW hybrid inverter was installed to manage energy flow, and two Pylontech US3000 batteries were set up to store excess energy for later use, offering Nick the flexibility to use renewable power even at night. Operations Manager Richard Stevens ensured the project ran seamlessly.
Why Choose Solar?
Nick’s solar system generates approximately 5698kWh annually, reducing reliance on the National Grid and ensuring a steady supply of renewable energy. With the addition of battery storage, he maximises energy efficiency and savings.
Results and Benefits
Nick’s solar installation is forecasted to deliver a return on investment within 9 years. The system provides clean energy, significant energy bill savings, and contributes to a greener future. With energy storage included, Nick can optimise his system’s performance all year round.
