Introduction

Chiltern Solar recently completed an impressive commercial solar installation at Chess Business Park in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. The project aimed to deliver significant energy savings for the customer while reducing reliance on the National Grid. With a tailored approach, the installation team ensured smooth delivery and high-quality workmanship.

Project timeline

The journey began on 7th July 2022 when the customer received the final quote. Following a swift order confirmation on 8th July, the installation was scheduled for October. Scaffolding was erected on 17th October, and the installation was completed within four days, wrapping up on 21st October.

System overview

The 12.32kWp system consists of 32 JA Solar 385W Mono MBB PERC Half-Cell Black Frame panels. These panels were paired with a Solis 10kW S5 3 Phase Dual MPPT inverter to maximise efficiency and reliability. This setup ensures optimal energy generation while seamlessly integrating into the business operations.

Installation process

The installation involved teamwork from Chiltern Solar's experienced professionals. Roofers Malik Kamli and Joe Freeman carefully mounted the solar panels with precision, while Rob Howard, the electrician, handled the electrical connections. The operations were overseen by Skye Warke, with support from surveyor Steve Gamston and estimator Lauren Ashby.

Expected results

The system is expected to generate approximately 10,139kWh annually, significantly reducing electricity costs. This equates to a substantial reduction in reliance on the grid, providing the business with energy independence and predictable energy expenses.

Why Chiltern Solar?

Chiltern Solar prides itself on delivering high-quality, reliable solar solutions. With extensive experience in commercial installations, the team ensured this project met both the technical and aesthetic requirements, setting the stage for long-term customer satisfaction.

Conclusion

The installation at Chess Business Park demonstrates Chiltern Solar’s capability to deliver tailored renewable energy solutions for commercial clients. This 12.32kWp system not only showcases advanced solar technology but also highlights Chiltern Solar’s dedication to quality and customer service.
